Shift Electrical Engineer

About the Role:

• Lead shift operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient data center performance, including after-hours support
• Monitor and manage critical electrical infrastructure such as UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution systems to maintain maximum availability and resilience
• Lead incident response and escalation management, coordinating cross-functional teams to minimize operational impact and restore services quickly
• Ensure compliance and coordinate maintenance activities, including safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements, testing, and commissioning
• Manage stakeholder communication during operational events, maintenance activities, and service-impacting issues
• Drive operational excellence through performance monitoring, risk management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

About You:

• Experience in data center operations, critical facilities, or electrical infrastructure environments, ideally in a shift-based or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of critical electrical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution
• Proven ability to lead incident response, escalation management, and operational coordination in high-pressure environments
• Familiar with maintenance planning, safety compliance, permit-to-work processes, testing, and commissioning activities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across technical teams and support functions
• Process-driven and resilient, with a strong focus on uptime, risk management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
