Shift Electricial Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within an automotive manufacturing plant based in Llanelli. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in electrical work to contribute to diverse projects while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Applicants should possess a minimum of HNC, practical experience along with a solid understanding of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Installing, testing and maintaining machinery, fixtures and equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations
• Diagnosing electrical faults and performing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety legislation
• Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks
• Collaborating with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects
• Conducting preventative maintenance of electrical installations to identify potential issues before they escalate

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the manufacturing industry or in a similar role with a strong understanding of electrical systems. Experience with furnaces and automation is preferred.
• HNC Minimum
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Pay: £44,024.60-£48,006.40 per year
