Shift Engineer - RME

Job Summary

The Shift Engineer is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and building facilities within a shopping mall. The role ensures the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of mall facilities, including HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, ventilation systems, plumbing systems, and other mechanical installations.

The Shift Engineer coordinates with the Mall Engineering Department, Property Management, tenants, contractors, and other operating departments to maintain tenant comfort, customer safety, equipment reliability, and uninterrupted mall operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and operate mall mechanical systems, including HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, and ventilation systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and implement preventive and corrective maintenance of building equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and respond promptly to tenant complaints and engineering-related concerns.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Department, Property Management, tenants, and contractors to ensure smooth mall operations.
• Monitor equipment performance, utility consumption, and energy efficiency.
• Respond to facility emergencies and ensure compliance with safety procedures and engineering standards.
• Prepare daily engineering reports, equipment logs, maintenance records, and shift turnover reports.
• Ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of mall facilities for tenants, customers, and employees.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer.
• Preferably with experience in mall, commercial building, or facilities management operations.
• Knowledgeable in HVAC, chillers, pumps, motors, ventilation, and plumbing systems.
• With troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
