Shift In-charge (Production)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift In-charge (Production) to join Aditya Birla Chemicals (Thailand) Ltd. (Chlor-Alkali Division) in Rayong. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial operational role in our manufacturing facility. As Shift In-charge, you will be responsible for overseeing production operations during your assigned shift, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. This position is integral to our production planning and scheduling operations, directly supporting the strategic objectives of our manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities;

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the assigned shift, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and equipment
• Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to planned timelines and output targets
• Maintain accurate production records, logs and documentation in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure safe working conditions
• Implement and enforce health, safety and environmental protocols across the production area
• Train, guide and supervise production team members, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime and maintain quality standards
• Liaise with planning and scheduling teams to communicate production updates and any constraints affecting operations
• Manage inventory of materials and ensure adequate stock levels for continuous production
• Report shift activities, incidents and performance metrics to management at the end of each shift

What we're looking for;

• Certification in Chemical Engineering

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or in-charge capacity

• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling processes and manufacturing operations

• Proven ability to manage and lead a diverse team effectively in a shift-based environment

• Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations specific to chemical manufacturing

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting production schedules, technical drawings and process documentation

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure

• Excellent communication skills in English (speaking and written); local language proficiency is advantageous

• Knowledge of quality control procedures and continuous improvement methodologies

• Competency in basic computer systems and production management software

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays as required
