Shift Incharge - API Production

• Execute daily production activities as per the approved production plan and shift schedule.
• Supervise shift personnel and ensure optimum manpower utilization.
• Ensure API manufacturing operations are performed as per approved SOPs, BMRs, and GMP requirements.
• Monitor batch processing, equipment operation, process parameters, and production yield.
• Ensure timely completion of batch manufacturing records and other production documentation.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, GDP, EHS, and data integrity requirements.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, Engineering, and Warehouse teams for smooth production operations.
• Ensure proper line clearance, equipment cleaning, and area readiness before starting operations.
• Monitor deviations, process abnormalities, and equipment breakdowns; report and escalate issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical handling practices.
• Maintain housekeeping, 5S, and cleanliness standards in the production area.
• Prepare shift handover reports covering batch status, equipment condition, manpower, and pending activities.
• Support investigations, CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure achievement of production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification & Experience: B.Sc./M.Sc. Chemistry, B.Pharm, or Chemical Engineering with 36 years of experience in API manufacturing.
• Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of cGMP, SOPs, BMRs, batch processing, API manufacturing equipment, and pharmaceutical documentation.
• Key Competencies: Strong shift management, manpower handling, problem-solving, safety awareness, and coordination with QA/QC and other departments.
