Shift Lead – The Pizza Press

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time opportunities available
Compensation: Base hourly wage + tips, with typical total earnings of approximately $18–$22/hour

The Pizza Press is looking for an energetic and dependable Shift Lead to help lead our team and keep each shift running smoothly.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes ownership of their work, and is ready to take the next step into restaurant leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Help lead the team during assigned shifts
• Create a welcoming and positive guest experience
• Assign positions and tasks based on the needs of the shift
• Keep the team focused, organized, and moving during busy periods
• Prepare pizzas and other menu items according to our standards
• Maintain food quality, cleanliness, and food-safety standards
• Open and/or close the restaurant
• Manage registers, cash drawers, refunds, and basic cash handling
• Help identify and resolve guest or operational issues
• Support training and development of new team members
• Communicate equipment, staffing, guest, and shift concerns to management

What We’re Looking For

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Dependable with strong communication skills
• Comfortable taking initiative and providing direction to a team
• Able to stay organized in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
• Strong attention to cleanliness, food quality, and guest service
• Restaurant or customer-service experience preferred
• Previous leadership experience is a plus, but we’re willing to develop the right person
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
