Shift Lead

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Lead to join our dynamic Cafe team! As a Shift Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading our team to success. Duties

• Oversee daily restaurant operations during your shift, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service
• Lead, motivate, and supervise team members to deliver excellent customer experiences
• Manage food preparation processes, ensuring quality and safety standards are met consistently
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy
• Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
• Train new staff members and provide ongoing coaching to enhance team performance
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant environment

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or managerial experience in hospitality or restaurant settings preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems including Toast POS or other similar systems, cash handling experience preferred
• Knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control, and food production processes
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to train & develop staff effectively
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shift responsibilities efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
• Casual dining or fine dining experience is preferred; catering or banquet experience is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism

Requirements:

• Must have flexibility for closing shifts and weekend shifts.
• Availability starting at 2pm for weekdays preferred

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 30.0 per week
