Shift Lead

This is a 12-hour shift (6pm - 6am) four days a week (Monday night - Thursday night).

Responsibilities

The Shift Lead will be responsible for supervising daily operations, guides the staff, and ensures business goals are met during the shift. Responsibilities will also include communication with other shifts at the beginning and end of the shift. The shift lead must also perform all job functions of each crew member.

• Safely operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to transport raw materials, components, and finished goods within the facility
• Assist with packaging finished products, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer specifications
• Support manufacturing processes by handling materials accurately and efficiently, including loading and unloading machinery or storage areas
• Use hand tools and machining equipment to prepare materials or perform minor repairs as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards
• Conduct basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, or quality checks
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while prioritizing safety and quality at all times

Skills

• Proven experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
• Strong mechanical knowledge to understand machinery operation and troubleshooting basics
• Familiarity with packaging techniques and manufacturing workflows
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for inventory management and quality control tasks
• Warehouse experience with an understanding of safety procedures and CGMP compliance
• Basic machining skills or experience working with machining tools is a plus
• Excellent physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving materials throughout shifts
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, time management
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk frequently, and lift up to 50 pounds
