Shift Lead PARIS BAGUETTE

We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Shift Lead to help oversee daily operations at our Paris Baguette café and bakery.

The Shift Lead plays an important role in supporting the management team, supervising employees during assigned shifts, maintaining excellent customer service, and ensuring the store operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and leading by example in a fast-paced environment.

IMPORTANT TRAINING REQUIREMENT:
The selected candidate must be available to complete a mandatory 4-week training program in Los Angeles, California. All approved training-related travel and lodging expenses will be paid by the company.

Responsibilities

As a Shift Lead, your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and support team members during assigned shifts
• Help ensure excellent customer service and a welcoming guest experience
• Assign daily tasks and help keep employees productive and organized
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Ensure products are properly stocked, displayed, and presented according to company standards
• Monitor cleanliness and organization throughout the café, bakery, dining area, and back-of-house areas
• Assist customers and help resolve concerns when needed
• Support cash handling procedures, register operations, and end-of-shift responsibilities
• Monitor product availability and communicate inventory or supply needs to management
• Help reduce food waste and ensure proper product rotation
• Ensure employees follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures
• Help train and support new employees
• Maintain a positive and professional work environment
• Communicate operational issues, staffing concerns, customer feedback, and maintenance needs to management
• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing inventory
• Ensure team members follow assigned break schedules and shift responsibilities
• Step into different positions as needed to support the team during busy periods
• Help maintain Paris Baguette standards for quality, cleanliness, service, and presentation

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, café, bakery, retail, or customer service experience preferred
• Previous supervisory, key holder, or shift leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable leading and directing team members
• Ability to stay organized and composed during busy periods
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Basic cash handling and register experience preferred
• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in a café and bakery environment
• Must be available to attend the mandatory 4-week training program in Los Angeles, California

Training

The selected Shift Lead will complete a mandatory 4-week Paris Baguette training program in Los Angeles, California to learn company operating procedures, service standards, product standards, food safety practices, and leadership expectations.

Approved training-related travel and lodging expenses will be paid by the company.

Candidates should only apply if they are able to commit to the full four-week training period.

We are looking for someone who can keep a shift organized, support employees, provide excellent customer service, and help maintain the high standards our customers expect from Paris Baguette.

You should be comfortable taking responsibility when a manager is not immediately available and be able to make sound decisions while keeping management informed.
