Shift Leader / AGM Trainee

Successful Candidate will receive compensation of $18 to $22 per hour base wage (commensurate with prior experience) and will qualify for tip sharing. YOUR ROLE AS A TAZIKI'S SHIFT LEADER:

• Serving guests and making meaningful connections with them
• Opening & closing tasks
• Being responsible for the restaurant and the team when a manager isn't on duty
• Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team about their duties
• Mastering menu and product knowledge
• Supporting or working stations when needed (including kitchen)
• Prepping food and doing side work
• Following proper cash handling and payment procedures
• Maintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shift
• Proper food handling and storage of food products
• Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance

THE IDEAL TEAM MEMBER:

• Prior food service experience preferred
• Strong leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills with guests/team members
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures
• Energetic, ready to learn, loves fresh food
• Able to work a flexible schedule
• Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy

ALL EMPLOYEES MUST:

• Understand and abide by all company standards and policies (provided in your handbook)
• Obtain a Food Manager's certification shortly after beginning employment

YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS/HOURS: Hours will vary by store. You may work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment, which includes but is not limited to using equipment such as a flattop and char grill, oven, slicer, mixer, and food processor.
