Shift Leader

Job Summary

Arctic Circle is seeking a reliable, responsible, and motivated Shift Leader to help oversee daily restaurant operations and support the team during each shift. The Shift Leader plays an important role in maintaining excellent customer service, food quality, cleanliness, and efficient workflow.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment, communicating clearly with employees and customers, and handling routine operational tasks. This position is a great opportunity for someone with restaurant experience who is ready to take on additional responsibility and help create a positive and productive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support restaurant employees during assigned shifts.
• Help ensure smooth and efficient daily restaurant operations.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist with taking orders, food preparation, and order completion when needed.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and product presentation.
• Assign tasks and communicate daily priorities to team members.
• Help train and guide employees on company procedures and service standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment.
• Ensure food-safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures are followed.
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Handle routine customer questions and service concerns professionally.
• Support cash-handling and register procedures according to company guidelines.
• Help manage workflow during busy periods.
• Communicate operational issues to management promptly.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, food-service, retail, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to guide and motivate team members.
• Good organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods.
• Strong customer-service skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to follow company procedures and food-safety standards.
