Shift Leader

Job Overview

The Capital Grille is seeking a dependable and experienced Shift Leader to support daily restaurant operations, lead team members, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is a hospitality-focused leader who can manage busy shifts, support employees, and maintain high standards for service, food quality, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise restaurant operations during assigned shifts
• Lead, coach, and motivate front-of-house and restaurant team members
• Assign stations and communicate shift priorities
• Provide attentive and professional guest service
• Monitor food quality, service efficiency, and restaurant cleanliness
• Handle guest questions, concerns, and service issues professionally
• Support management with daily operational goals
• Coordinate communication between kitchen and dining-room teams
• Assist with POS operations and cash-handling procedures
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and company standards are followed

Qualifications

• Previous Shift Leader, Restaurant Supervisor, Team Lead, or Assistant Manager experience preferred
• Restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience required
• Experience training or supervising employees is an advantage
• POS and cash-handling experience preferred
• Food Handler or Food Safety Certification is a plus
