Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shift Leader to join our dynamic retail team. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management
• Lead, train, and develop sales associates to enhance their performance and product knowledge
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales potential
• Oversee customer service interactions to ensure a positive shopping experience and resolve issues promptly
• Coordinate scheduling, shift management, and employee orientation to maintain optimal staffing levels
• Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to build a strong retail sales team
• Monitor sales targets, prepare reports on sales performance, and support budgeting efforts
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping
• Knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
• Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs, and interviewing processes
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations swiftly
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Familiarity with grocery or retail store product knowledge is advantageous
• Previous experience in shift management, operational oversight, or assistant manager roles is preferred

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
