Shift Leader

Job Overview

Duties

• Supervise daily store activities, ensuring smooth shift operations and adherence to company policies
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management
• Manage employee orientation, interviewing, onboarding, and scheduling to build a strong team foundation
• Oversee inventory management including stock replenishment, inventory control, purchasing, and merchandising
• Handle cash handling procedures, POS transactions, cashiering duties, and payroll processing with accuracy
• Monitor sales performance, implement sales strategies, and support retail math calculations to meet targets
• Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and maintaining professional phone etiquette

Skills

• Proven leadership experience with supervising teams in retail or similar environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Expertise in inventory management, purchasing, pricing strategies, and store merchandising
• Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Experience in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development processes
• Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping basics, budgeting, and store management practices
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation, conflict resolution, and phone etiquette
