Shift Lead - The Meadows Original Frozen Custard

The Meadows Original Frozen Custard is looking for a dependable, hands-on Shift Lead to help keep daily operations running smoothly. This position combines frozen dessert production, customer service, and team support. Our ideal candidate takes initiative, stays organized, and helps create a welcoming experience for both customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare frozen custard, frozen yogurt, and Italian ice following established recipes, production procedures, and quality standards.
• Monitor product levels and coordinate production to keep flavors available throughout the shift.
• Prepare and restock toppings, mix-ins, sauces, and other ingredients.
• Support staff during busy periods by helping take orders, prepare treats, and serve customers.
• Help organize shift tasks and guide team members to keep service efficient and work evenly distributed.
• Assist with training employees on product preparation, customer service, cleaning, and daily procedures.
• Keep production, serving, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Follow food safety procedures, including proper ingredient storage, labeling, rotation, and equipment cleaning.
• Monitor supplies and communicate shortages, equipment concerns, and other issues to management.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including register procedures and completing shift checklists.
• Handle routine customer concerns professionally and involve management when needed.

• Previous food service, retail, or leadership experience is preferred.
• Availability for evening and weekend shifts.

Compensation

Hourly pay based on experience, plus tips.

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
