Shift Leader/Cashier

Overview

Community Co-op is seeking a Shift Lead - Cashier to help oversee front-end operations while providing excellent customer service. This role is perfect for someone with leadership skills, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for assisting cashiers, ensuring smooth daily operations, and stepping in as a leader to support both the team and customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee front-end operations during your shift, ensuring efficiency and organization.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and foster a welcoming shopping experience.
• Handle cash, process transactions, and assist customers with purchases.
• Support, train, and mentor cashiers and front-end staff.
• Address customer concerns and resolve any issues that arise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and uphold company policies.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail, cashiering, or customer service (leadership experience preferred).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay organized, multitask, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for community.
• Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends if needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
