Shift Manager

We are looking for a responsible and customer-focused Shift Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate will be capable of leading a team, maintaining operational standards, handling customer concerns, and ensuring smooth coordination between cashier, sales, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Supervise overall outlet operations during assigned shifts.
• Ensure smooth workflow between cashier, sales staff, and production teams.
• Monitor product availability and coordinate timely replenishment.
• Manage outlet opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure daily operations are conducted according to company SOPs.

Team Supervision & Coordination

• Lead, guide, and support staff during shifts.
• Assign duties and ensure proper completion of tasks.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and performance.
• Address minor staff concerns and escalate serious issues to management.
• Maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Customer Service

• Maintain high standards of customer service.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Support the team during peak hours and busy periods.
• Ensure customized cake orders are properly communicated, prepared, and delivered to customers.

Sales & Billing

• Monitor billing accuracy and cashier performance.
• Assist the cashier during high-traffic periods.
• Ensure proper handling of cash, payments, and transactions.
• Report billing discrepancies or irregularities to management.

Compliance, Hygiene & Safety

• Ensure employees follow hygiene, grooming, and safety standards.
• Enforce company SOPs and operational policies.
• Conduct regular checks of outlet cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure products and work areas are maintained according to required standards.

Inventory & Stock Monitoring

• Monitor stock levels of products, packaging materials, and other operational supplies.
• Coordinate with the production team for timely stock replenishment.
• Identify and report shortages, damages, or stock discrepancies.
• Support proper handling and storage of inventory.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in retail, bakery, restaurant, café, food & beverage, or outlet operations.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team-lead role is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to handle pressure and manage peak-hour operations.
• Basic knowledge of billing/POS systems and inventory management.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
