Shift manager

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Shift Manager to lead our retail team through busy hours, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service. As a key leader on the floor, you will oversee staff performance, manage inventory, and maintain operational excellence. Duties

• Supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management
• Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, stock control, and merchandising to maximize sales potential
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, providing outstanding service and resolving issues promptly
• Manage cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and sales transactions with accuracy and integrity
• Coordinate purchasing activities and assist with pricing strategies to optimize profitability
• Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews for new hires, and ongoing training to support team growth

Experience

• Proven supervisory experience within the retail industry or similar fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory control, and merchandising principles
• Demonstrated ability in managing POS systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and basic math calculations
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency preferred to serve diverse customer bases
• Experience in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and conducting training & development programs
• Skilled in operational management tasks such as budgeting, store management, shift management, and sales management
• Prior experience with inventory management software and retail math for pricing and sales analysis
