Shift Manager

Job Summary

DANTE is seeking a dependable and experienced Shift Manager to help lead restaurant operations during assigned shifts. This role will coordinate team activities, maintain high service standards, support staff performance, and help create an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-of-house and restaurant team members throughout assigned shifts.
• Coordinate daily service activities and keep operations running efficiently.
• Assign responsibilities and provide direction to team members as needed.
• Monitor guest service, food quality, order accuracy, and dining-room standards.
• Respond professionally to guest questions, concerns, and service issues.
• Support opening, closing, and shift-change procedures.
• Assist with staff training, coaching, and onboarding.
• Monitor cash handling, POS procedures, and shift documentation.
• Help maintain appropriate inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and food-safety standards are consistently followed.
• Work closely with kitchen and service teams during busy periods.
• Communicate important operational updates and staffing concerns to management.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to remain organized and make sound decisions during busy service periods.
• Comfortable coaching and motivating a diverse restaurant team.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic restaurant operations.
• Dependable, professional, and service-oriented approach.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Food-safety certification is a plus.

About The Company

DANTE is an Italian restaurant in West Omaha located at The Shops of Legacy at 16901 Wright Plaza #173. The restaurant focuses on ingredient-driven Italian dining and also offers wood-fired catering.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 per week
