Shift Manager

Joe’s Waterfront is seeking a dependable and organized Shift Manager to support daily restaurant operations and lead team members during assigned shifts. This role involves coordinating staff, monitoring food and service quality, assisting guests, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring efficient restaurant workflow. The ideal candidate has strong communication and leadership skills and can manage priorities in a fast-paced dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant activities during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate staff assignments and ensure adequate shift coverage.
• Support and guide servers, hosts, food runners, and kitchen team members.
• Monitor food quality, order accuracy, and guest-service standards.
• Assist with employee training, onboarding, and day-to-day coaching.
• Respond to guest questions, feedback, and routine service concerns professionally.
• Help maintain efficient seating, order flow, and table turnover.
• Monitor food, beverage, and service supply levels.
• Assist with inventory organization and restocking as needed.
• Support POS operations and routine cash-handling procedures.
• Ensure dining areas, service stations, and workspaces remain clean and organized.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and shift checklists.
• Communicate staffing, supply, and operational issues to restaurant management.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company procedures.
• Help the team maintain consistent service during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food-service experience.
• Previous shift-lead or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Reliable, organized, and comfortable taking responsibility.
• Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to food quality, cleanliness, and service details.
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant procedures.
• Ability to support and motivate team members.
• Professional and respectful approach to guests and coworkers.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
