Overview

Key Responsibilities

Shift Coordination & Team Support

• Provide day-to-day shift coordination and support to team members.
• Help organize daily tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Coordinate employee breaks while maintaining adequate coverage.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees when questions or routine operational issues arise.
• Help maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
• Communicate significant employee or operational concerns to ownership.

Daily Cafe Operations

• Help coordinate the daily flow of service to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Monitor product availability and ensure workstations are properly stocked.
• Work alongside team members with food preparation, order fulfillment, and customer service during busy periods.
• Ensure daily cleaning and operational responsibilities are completed.
• Help maintain established standards for food quality, cleanliness, and customer service.

Customer Service

• Lead by example in providing friendly and professional customer service.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customer questions or concerns.
• Address routine customer service issues and escalate more significant concerns to ownership.
• Help maintain a welcoming atmosphere for customers.

Register & Cash Handling

• Assist with coordinating register operations during assigned shifts.
• Process customer transactions and help resolve routine register issues.
• Complete register balancing and cash handling procedures as assigned.
• Follow established cash handling policies and report discrepancies to ownership.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, cafe, or food service experience preferred.
• Previous shift leadership or team coordination experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to take initiative.
• Comfortable providing direction and support to coworkers.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to assist in all areas of cafe operations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform typical restaurant duties.

Schedule & Benefits

• Daytime hours — no late-night shifts
• Every other weekend required
