Shift Manager

The Shift Manager is responsible for supervising daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, leading team members, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role involves coordinating staff activities, maintaining food quality, managing service issues, and ensuring smooth operations while upholding high standards of cleanliness, hospitality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
• Lead and support front-of-house and kitchen staff.
• Assign employee duties and coordinate shift schedules and breaks.
• Train new team members on restaurant procedures and service standards.
• Ensure guests receive friendly, attentive, and professional service.
• Handle customer questions, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and order accuracy.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation and delivery.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas and service stations.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety standards.
• Assist with inventory checks, stock replenishment, and waste reduction.
• Monitor POS transactions and ensure accurate payment processing.
• Support cash handling and end-of-shift reconciliation procedures.
• Oversee opening, closing, and shift handover activities.
• Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Resolve operational issues promptly and report significant concerns to management.
• Support promotions and initiatives to improve customer satisfaction.
• Ensure employees follow company policies and operating procedures.
• Communicate shift updates and operational concerns to restaurant management.
• Help maintain efficient workflows and a positive team environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality operations.
• Shift-supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and service standards.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional attitude, reliability, and attention to detail.

Pay: $25.14 - $30.28 per hour
