Duties

• Lead and supervise the crew member team, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff performance to foster a motivated and productive workforce
• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning of sales, customer service, inventory control, and cash handling procedures
• Manage inventory levels through effective stock management, purchasing, and merchandising strategies to maximize sales opportunities
• Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities to boost sales and attract new customers
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and POS (Point of Sale) system protocols
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
• Monitor sales performance metrics regularly and develop action plans to meet or exceed targets

Skills

• Proven management experience within the retail industry, including supervising teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations
• Excellent employee orientation skills with experience in interviewing, recruiting, onboarding, and training new staff
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Proficiency in payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management software, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
• Demonstrated leadership in retail sales management with a focus on team development and operational efficiency
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively across various responsibilities such as merchandising, stock control, budgeting, and scheduling
• Effective communication skills for managerial conversations, staff training sessions, and customer interactions
• Basic math skills for cash reconciliation, pricing adjustments, and inventory calculations
• Experience in grocery or specialty retail stores is a plus but not required; familiarity with retail math is essential
• Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service and store cleanliness
