What they need
Job Title: Shift Manager (Property Management)
Location: Edinburgh, UK
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time available
Start: ASAP
About Us
We are a small, close-knit property management company based in beautiful Edinburgh. Because we are a small team, we wear many hats and rely on each other to keep our properties shining and our guests happy. We are looking for a hands-on, proactive Shift Manager to join us. We need someone who thrives in a varied role and brings excellent multitasking skills to the table.
The Role
This is a true all-rounder position. You will be the operational heartbeat of the day, making sure everything runs smoothly without the pressure of formal line management. You will be out and about, getting your hands dirty, and ensuring our guests have a fantastic experience.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Team and Day Management: Organising and overseeing the daily flow for the on-ground team.
- Linen Drops and Logistics: Driving to properties across Edinburgh city centre for linen drops. You can use your own car or use a vehicle provided by us through Enterprise.
- Property Preparation: Assisting with property cleaning to keep standards high across all flats.
- Guest Relations: Acting as a friendly, welcoming face for our guests and handling their on-site needs.
- Light Maintenance and DIY: Tackling minor fixes like assembling flat-pack furniture, touch-up painting, or pressurising a boiler.
- Maintenance Coordination: Liaising with external professional maintenance teams for bigger issues.
- On-Call Coverage: Covering at least one on-call shift per week to ensure emergency cover, paid at an additional on-call rate on top of your standard hourly wage.
About You
We are looking for someone highly resourceful, organised, and calm under pressure. You will fit right in if you have a caring but capable, get-things-done attitude and are used to juggling multiple priorities at once.
- Cleaning Background: Prior cleaning experience is highly preferred, but not strictly required. We are happy to provide full training for the right person.
- Driving Licence: A full driving licence is essential due to city centre travel and linen runs.
- Practical Skills: Basic DIY and maintenance skills are a huge bonus. If you do not have them yet but are eager and willing to learn, we still want to hear from you.
- Mindset: You have an entrepreneurial spirit, a can-do attitude, and the ability to solve problems on the fly.
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Company pension
- Health & wellbeing programme
