Shift manager/Assistant Manager

As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on seven main things:

• Providing an excellent Guest experience and ensure team members do same.
• Ensuring that great food is prepared & served
• Keeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautiful
• Controlling inventory
• Scheduling , Training and Developing staff
• Maintaining all operational standards of restaurant including safety and security
• Motivating and maintaining a happy team while being a team player to confirm all tasks are completed together

In addition to the role of a Assistant Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make restaurant successful
• Assisting with product ordering, and inventory to meet targets, all while working side by side with the team members.

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant or business operations, with at least 1 year of supervisory coaching and leadership experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of management and team members. Decision making, coaching and leadership skills are required. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 20 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally.

• You will receive training on your roles and responsibilities. Depending on applicant, this position may start as Shift Manager to be developed into Assistant Manager.

Full Time: Day/Evening/Weekend Shift position
