Role Purpose

Responsible for managing spinning production operations to achieve targeted yarn production, quality, productivity and machine efficiency while controlling process losses, waste, downtime and manpower utilisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production operations across Ring Frame / Compact Spinning / Rotor / Open-End Spinning, depending on plant technology.
• Ensure achievement of shift-wise and daily yarn production targets with optimum machine utilisation.
• Monitor critical yarn and process parameters including yarn count, twist, evenness, imperfections, strength, hairiness and end breakages, as applicable.
• Drive improvements in machine productivity, efficiency and utilisation while minimising production losses.
• Monitor and control end breakages, process waste, quality defects and rework.
• Analyse production and quality deviations and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve machine/process issues and minimise downtime.
• Ensure proper process settings and adherence to specified yarn quality requirements.
• Plan and deploy manpower across machines and shifts to achieve production requirements.
• Lead shop-floor teams with focus on production, quality, safety, housekeeping and SOP compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity enhancement, waste reduction, quality improvement and cost optimisation.

Ideal Profile

Candidate with hands-on experience in core spinning production, particularly Ring Frame / Compact Spinning / Rotor / OE Spinning, with responsibility for yarn quality, production achievement, machine efficiency, end-breakage control, waste reduction and manpower management.
