Shift Quarry Engineer

About the role

The Shift Quarry Engineer is responsible for overseeing quarry operations, production planning, service providers, regulatory compliance, environmental management, and safety. The role ensures efficient quarry development and production while maintaining compliance with quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee all quarry-related activities and daily operations.
• Manage and evaluate quarry service providers based on approved development plans and operational requirements.
• Monitor raw material production and ensure compliance with QC quality standards.
• Review and analyze billing, procurement, mine services, equipment rentals, and auxiliary equipment requirements.
• Develop and implement short-, medium-, and long-term quarry mining and development plans.
• Prepare and regularly update quarry topographic maps and production development plans.
• Monitor the implementation of the final mine rehabilitation plan.
• Monitor production targets, quarry development programs, and related services.
• Ensure timely submission of mandatory reports to DENR, MGB, and other regulatory agencies.
• Ensure strict adherence to quarry safety, environmental, and operational standards.

About you

• Graduate of Mining Engineering / Mine Engineering or a related field.
• Licensed Mining Engineer is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience, preferably in quarry or mining operations.
• Strong knowledge of quarry operations, production planning, mine development, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with DENR, MGB, environmental, and mine rehabilitation requirements.
• Strong leadership, analytical, planning, and coordination skills.
