Shift Sheeter Helper

Work Hours - 11:00am to 7:30pm

I. Job Summary: Assists operators in Converting Room by stacking paper, loading machines and relieving operators during breaks.

II. Reporting Relationship: Converting Room Supervisor

III. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Insures that paper is neatly stacked.

2. Selects skids by size and helps load machines.

3. Bales paper at baler.

4. Operates cutter, small cutter and sheeter during operators breaks.

5. Weighs rolls of paper and takes tickets to office.

6. Cleans machines and the area and sweeps floors.

IV. Other Duties: All other duties as assigned by supervision or management.

V. Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Requires training in paper handling and the ability to operate the following machiens:

• a. Large and small cutter
• b. Sheeter
• c. Air-lift table
• d. Fortlift and roll camp truck

2. Requires basic math skills.

3. Ability to communicate in English.

4. Physical Requirement:

Requires vertically translating cut sheets weighing fifty (50) lbs. from machines at forty-eight (48) inches to pallet at eight (8) inches, up to one hundred (100) times per hour.

Must horizontally translate stock on air table to cutter. Requires force of eighty (80) lbs. a distance of thirty-six (36), inches up to forty (40) times per hour. Body in stationary position.

Must move skids around work place. Requires vertically translating one end of a skid weighing forty (40) lbs,. eight (8) inches to thirty-six (36) inches. Must horizontally translate skid requiring force of twenty (20) lbs a distance of sixty (60) ft., up to ten (10) times per hour.

6. Hearing acuity is on level explained in Job Description Worksheet (Physical Activity Paragraph Q)

7. Physical activity includes: climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking and hearing.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
