Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Lead and motivate team members by providing clear direction, coaching, and support to achieve sales goals and exceptional customer service.
• Manage cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cashiering activities with precision and integrity.
• Oversee merchandising efforts, including pricing strategies, product placement, and inventory replenishment to maximize sales potential.
• Coordinate recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and assisting with onboarding new employees.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all visitors.
• Monitor store safety protocols, conduct routine inspections, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and maintaining organizational records.
• Support marketing initiatives by promoting sales campaigns and special promotions to boost store traffic.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by providing training & development opportunities focused on sales techniques, product knowledge, and leadership skills.

Requirements

• Proven supervising experience in retail or related customer service environments.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across multiple functions.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customers.
• Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
• Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff members.
• Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently through excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service orientation with phone etiquette expertise and a friendly demeanor.
• Basic math skills for sales calculations, inventory management, and financial recordkeeping.
• Familiarity with marketing techniques and promotional activities within retail settings is desirable.

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
