Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

Roma - Italian Restaurant is seeking a dependable Shift Supervisor to help lead daily restaurant service and support a positive guest experience. This position will coordinate team members during assigned shifts, maintain service standards, and assist management with keeping restaurant operations organized and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Supervise restaurant staff and coordinate daily activities during assigned shifts.
• Assign team responsibilities and adjust coverage as business volume changes.
• Support opening, closing, and shift-change procedures.
• Monitor guest service, order accuracy, food quality, and restaurant cleanliness.
• Respond professionally to customer questions and service concerns.
• Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding of new team members.
• Support cash handling, POS operations, and end-of-shift procedures.
• Communicate inventory, staffing, equipment, and operational concerns to management.
• Help maintain food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety standards.
• Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house employees to maintain smooth service.
• Step in to support service stations during busy periods.
• Complete shift reports and other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to make practical decisions in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Organized approach with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable coaching team members and maintaining accountability.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
