Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

Roam is looking for a confident and organised Shift Supervisor to support daily restaurant operations and help lead the team during service. The successful candidate will coordinate staff duties, maintain excellent customer service standards, and ensure the restaurant operates smoothly, efficiently, and professionally throughout each shift.

Job Description

• Supervise and support team members during assigned shifts.
• Allocate duties and coordinate staff to ensure efficient service.
• Welcome customers and help maintain a friendly, professional atmosphere.
• Monitor service quality and respond promptly to customer requests or concerns.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members.
• Support staff with orders, food service, and customer enquiries when required.
• Ensure dining, counter, and service areas remain clean, tidy, and organised.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including basic till responsibilities.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure supplies are replenished when needed.
• Help train and support new team members.
• Ensure food hygiene, health and safety, and workplace procedures are followed.
• Assist management with resolving operational issues during busy periods.
• Lead by example and encourage teamwork and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, café, hospitality, or customer service role is beneficial.
• Supervisory or team-leader experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions in a busy environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
• Willingness to support colleagues and take responsibility during shifts.

Pay: £15.00-£28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 per week
