Who we are

Tamila is the new concept from the team behind the Tamil Prince and the Tamil Crown, and the first south of the river! We are a laid back, all day restaurant serving an authentic southern Indian menu designed to share, alongside our bespoke cocktail list with a Tamil spiced twist.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to lead the service with a hands on approach to working. You will oversee daily operations, have an excellent and detailed knowledge of our menu and and lead the team in giving every guest that 5 star experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and ensure all team members are performing their duties effectively.
• Assist in training new staff members on service
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen and dining areas.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment for both staff and guests.
• Opening and closing the venue, and full management responsibilities in the absence of the GM and AM.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a leadership role within a restaurant setting is preferred, however experience in a similar hospitality setting will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, health and safety,
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
• A passion for our food and commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Pay is basic £12.21 for 21yrs and over + Tronc which approximately amounts to between £16-£20 p/h

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
