Shift Supervisor/Quality Inspector - Weekend Night Shift

Summary:

Coordinates activities related to machining production, deburr, and assembly.  Troubleshoots machine issues.  Ensures that safety, quality, and delivery objectives are achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate work assignments with crew chiefs
• Discuss production issues with other departments to minimize delays
• Assist crew members with troubleshooting and resolving issues
• Ensure that all safety, quality, and delivery policies and procedures are followed
• Monitor and manage the perishables expenses for the crew
• Facilitate team building between crews and shifts
• Mentor, coach, and motivate crew to maximize crew satisfaction, efficiency, and effectiveness
• Track movement of parts through area
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
• Model desired traits
• Accept and adapt easily to change
• Support all Company policies and procedures
• Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement
• Operate job-related equipment with or without an accommodation
• Ability to make sound decisions regarding quality concerns and escalate issues appropriately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and customer requirements
• Ability to identify and document nonconforming conditions and follow established quality procedures
• Working knowledge of inspection methods, measuring equipment, and basic dimensional inspection
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• 5+ years of experience with multi-axis single or multi-spindle CNC machining, including at least 1 year of experience as a supervisor
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliance)
• Language:                   Read, write, and speak English fluently
• Math:                            Proficient with basic shop math
• Sense of urgency
• Ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines
