Shift Warehouse Foreman

The Shift Warehouse Foreman is responsible for conducting pre-shift toolbox meetings, managing manpower schedules, and ensuring uninterrupted warehouse operations. Duties include supervising the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, verifying inventory accuracy through regular checks, and overseeing the proper handling and storage of goods. The Foreman collaborates with other departments, supports the training and development of warehouse personnel, maintains warehouse cleanliness to prevent contamination, and continuously improves warehouse processes. They represent the department during audits, MBWA, and adhere to all audit criteria and regulatory requirements. This role upholds food safety and quality standards is the with adherence to company policies, company core values, GMP, GWP, and other relevant food safety regulations. They also fulfill reporting requirements and undertake additional duties as assigned. Furthermore, they incorporate continuous improvement practices into job functions by regularly evaluating processes identifying areas for enhancement, implement improvements, and monitoring effectiveness to drive ongoing operational efficiency and effectiveness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and supervise warehouse personnel during each shift.

Conduct toolbox meetings with all warehouse personnel before each shift to communicate tasks, address concerns, and ensure alignment with operational goals

Monitor workforce availability, report absences promptly, and adjust manpower allocation in coordination with the immediate superior to maintain uninterrupted operation.

Aid the training and development of warehouse personnel for operational procedures, safety protocols, and other related food safety related policies.

Collaboration and Communication:

Serve as a key liaison between warehouse personnel, production teams, and other departments to streamline warehouse operations.

Represent the warehouse team during internal and external audits, demonstrating compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Foster an environment of collaboration and teamwork, promoting the company’s core values to achieve shared objectives.

Food Safety and Compliance:

Promote and uphold the company's food safety and quality culture by adhering to company policy, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Warehouse Practices (GWP), and other relevant food safety standards.

Supervise the proper handling and storage of goods to maintain product integrity and prevent contamination or infestation.

Identify and address potential risks to food safety and quality, escalating concerns to the immediate superior as necessary.

Documentation & Reporting:

Verify the accuracy of inventory records by counterchecking FG transfers, shipments, and deliveries, and ensuring timely updates in electronic systems.

Prepare and submit detailed daily inventory and operational reports to the immediate superior.

Maintain thorough documentation of stock variances, critical stock positions, and operational adjustments for audit and compliance purposes.

Regularly monitor system-generated reports to ensure alignment with physical inventory and operational requirements.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of any 4-year course.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operation, with at least 1 year in a team lead role. Preferably, with a background in plant operations, particularly in the milling industry or any food-related industry.
