Shipper/Receiver

Monday to Friday
Duties

• Receive paper stock and stage paper in correct areas.
• Maintain and manage customer pre-printed inventory.
• Pull inventory/prepare it for delivery.
• Communicate to management any orders received that are damaged or incorrect.
• Assemble all orders for shipment to customer. Ensure shipments are packed securely, labeled with correct address, sample of box contents, and quantity per box. Note packing slip number and date shipped on dockets. Check that samples of the job have been placed in docket
• Complete accurate packing slips, note correct address, quantities ordered/shipped, ensure P.O# and contact names are correct. For C.O.D orders ensure that they have been paid and send invoice with the job.
• Read all job tickets carefully for any special shipping instructions and make note on packing slips.
• Keep FedEx database accurate, maintain the shipping log.
• Inform management of any incorrect addresses provided or vague shipping instructions.
• Track shipments and/or acquire P.O.D’s as requested.
• Temporary relief / backup driver for deliveries

Qualifications:

• Must be experienced using web based shipping software for FedEx/Purolator/UPS/Canada Post.
• Must be knowledge completing Commercial Invoices/Certificate of Origin and all other customs documents for international shipping.
• Proven past experience in a busy environment. Must be able to multi task well, plan work load and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
• Must be familiar with the GVRD area.
• Valid drivers license with clean drivers abstract.
• Previous experience using Canada Post Ad mail software an asset.
• Good problem solver.
• Willing to go the extra mile.

When the shipping department is slow the individual will be required to make deliveries using the company cargo vans. As a result the individual must have:

• Must be customer focused and provide excellent customer service.
• Have extensive knowledge of the Lower Mainland.
• Have good problem solving and time management skills.
• Must provide a clean driver abstract and class 5 license.
• Employment offer will be contingent on completion of a criminal background check being completed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
