Shipper/Receiver

Superior Farm Equipment Ltd. brings together the rich legacies and expertise of Rite Way Manufacturing and Morris Equipment Ltd., two western Canadian companies dedicated to providing quality, performance-based equipment for farmers worldwide.

We are recruiting to fill a Shipper/Receiver position who can work well with and without supervision at a production pace to join our team at our Manufacturing facility in Regina, SK. The shift is Monday - Thursday, 10 hour shifts.

Job Duties

• Receives all incoming goods verifying quantities received against quantities shipped on packing slips.
• Completes Return to Vendor forms when shipping purchased goods back to vendor.
• Issues all parts and supplies to dealers and records transactions on the appropriate work order.
• Responsible for the packaging and shipping of goods via mail or courier as required.
• Ensures that all returned or warranty parts are returned to inventory so the dealership recovers full credit from the factory.
• Works with the plant managers to ensure availability and timely turnaround of parts needed for production
• Assists in analyzing departmental operations and storage layout and revises as needed for maximum effectiveness.
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
• Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, product quality, and safety standards.
• Perform Other Duties as Required

Requirements

• High School Diploma plus a two-year technical educational program, or equivalent relevant experience
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Computer literate
• Demonstrated team leadership abilities
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Able to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

Additional Requirements (can be attained after hiring)

Work Conditions

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regular light physical effort (bending, reaching, carrying light items, walking, standing)
• Regular heavy physical effort (carrying, lifting or pushing heavy items)
• Regular reading of documentation and work on computer screens
• Regularly dealing with simultaneous multiple demands which must be attended to immediately
• Occasional (i.e. during the spring planting season) peak periods requiring an accelerated work pace over which you have no control, or deadlines creating pressure
• Overtime as required.
• Hazards associated with a manufacturing environment

Work Location: In person
