Shipping & Outside Process Assistant / Coordinator

At Texas ProFab Corporation, we are staffing for what can be a very key position in our organization: Shipping & Outside Process Assistant / Coordinator. Aptitude & willingness to learn & perform duties well is more important than specifically relevant experience, as we will invest the time to train the right candidates to succeed in the role!

Hours are from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with some opportunities for overtime available as needed. The preferred & ideal candidate will have the ability to attend work consistently & regularly, follow instructions & be motivated to learn new skills (and grow within the company), be detail oriented, and be able to communicate/interact with others (of all different personalities!) well.

Typical job functions include:

SHIPPING: Preparing Document Packages (Invoices, Packing Slips, Labels, Certificates, etc.) in our ERP Software for Outgoing Shipments (Packaged by our Packaging Team) - which could be on our own trucks, by UPS/FedEx, by other LTL Carriers, or even Customer Pickup.

OUTSIDE PROCESSING (Plating, Painting): Manage relationships with 2 to 3 key outside process vendors and prepare document packages (purchase orders, labels, prints, verifying counts, etc.) for outgoing shipments, as well as receiving them after processing & moving them to their next step in the manufacturing process.

FINISHED GOODS INVENTORY: Maintaining finished goods inventory of manufactured overages, staged shipments, and more is important, as well. This also includes adding & pulling parts from the warehouse, etc.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to interact with production leads, managers, customers, vendors, and owners - and the impact of your hard work will be felt in this family business. The ability to interact & communicate with and get along with all types of individuals at all levels & all walks of life is very important here. Learning the basics of purchasing & program management offers growth opportunity here, as well!

We intend to start slowly assisting in the groundwork and easing into all the duties listed above as aptitude allows for it.
