Shipping Clerk

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products accurately using picking & packing techniques.
• Receive inbound shipments, verify contents against shipping documents, and unload freight using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory management software to track stock levels, update records, and ensure data entry accuracy.
• Conduct order picking with RF scanners or order pickers to fulfill customer orders efficiently while maintaining stock integrity.
• Coordinate shipping logistics including scheduling pickups, preparing customs documentation for international trade compliance, and ensuring adherence to trade regulations.
• Maintain organized storage areas by stocking items correctly and managing inventory levels through regular cycle counts and inventory management practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members, carriers, and customers to resolve shipping & receiving issues promptly while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles with familiarity in warehouse distribution processes.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (such as AS400 or MRP), inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for weight measurements, quantities, and measurements during packing and loading activities.
• Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail; experience using RF scanners or similar technology is preferred.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance standards is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
