Shipping controller / supervisor

About the role

Kaga (HK) Electronics Limited is seeking an experienced Shipping Controller/Supervisor to join our logistics team on a full-time basis. Based in Kwai Hing, Kwai Tsing District, this role is central to our import/export and customs operations. You will oversee shipping activities, manage logistics workflows, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction whilst working within a dynamic manufacturing and logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all shipping and freight operations, including air, sea, and land transportation
• Monitor shipment schedules, track cargo movements, and ensure timely delivery to customers and suppliers
• Manage customs documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
• Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to ensure smooth clearance of goods
• Ensure full compliance with import/export regulations, tariffs, and international trade laws
• Prepare and review shipping documentation to minimise delays and errors at customs
• Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure goods are ready for shipment on schedule
• Manage shipping costs, negotiate freight rates, and optimise logistics expenditure
• Resolve shipping discrepancies and address customer or supplier shipping inquiries
• Supervise and train junior shipping staff, delegating tasks and ensuring quality standards are maintained
• Generate shipping reports and maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and implement best practices within the department

What we're looking for

High School Diploma, An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or Business Administration is highly preferred.

Typically 5+ year experience in shipping or logistics, 1-2 year in a leadership role (team leader or assistant supervisor. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems , SAP.
