Shipping Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipping Coordinator is directly responsible for picking, packing, and shipping materials accurately, on time, damage-free, and according to customer specifications. This role actively participates in achieving team objectives, including safety, shipping quality, continuous inventory accuracy, and workplace housekeeping.

Essential Functions

· Order Fulfillment: Picks customer orders accurately and packages products according to strict engineering and customer specifications.

· Shipping & Logistics: Determines appropriate delivery services for each order; operates manifest and processing software for FedEx, UPS, and other freight carriers.

· Data Entry & Documentation: Enters shipping data (addresses, quantities, weights) to generate packing slips, tracking info, and required logistics paperwork.

· International Logistics: Processes domestic and international shipments, including the creation of customs invoices and certificates of origin.

· Inventory Management: Performs accurate inventory transactions within the system as material moves through the stockroom.

· Safety & Housekeeping: Follows all safe workplace practices, maintains a clean, organized work area (5S), and actively eliminates waste.

· Continuous Improvement: Assists in implementing corrective actions for quality or safety issues, and participates in creating, revising, and maintaining team ISO procedures.

· General Support: Performs other warehouse and shipping duties as assigned by leadership.

Skills & Abilities

Education: High School Diploma or GED required

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of shipping, logistics, or warehouse experience.

Carrier Software: Proficiency with carrier shipping platforms (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip).

Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency (data entry, ERP/inventory software familiarity, and email).

Certifications & Licenses: None required (Forklift certification is a plus, if applicable)

Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
