About the role

The Shipping Coordinator role involves coordinating and arranging import and export shipments to ensure timely delivery, managing shipping documentation, and liaising with suppliers, warehouses, and transport companies on shipment and delivery arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and arrange import and export shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, B/L, AWB and relevant permits.
• Arrange shipment bookings with freight forwarders and shipping lines.
• Liaise with suppliers, warehouse and transport companies on shipment and delivery arrangements.
• Monitor ETD/ETA, shipment status and delivery schedules, and follow up on delays or outstanding matters.
• Check freight charges, shipping invoices and related costs.
• Issue and process Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on PO status.
• Maintain proper records and filing of shipping and PO documents.
• Handle day-to-day shipping and logistics coordination and resolve shipment-related issues.
• Perform other administrative and ad hoc duties as assigned.

About you

• Minimum 1 year of shipping related experience, freight forwarding or logistics experience preferred
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to manage multiple tasks and follow up independently
• Responsible, proactive and able to work well in a team
