SHIPPING OFFICER

Key Responsibilities

·       Ensure 100% compliance with LMW conditions under Section 65 of the Customs Act 1967.

·       Maintain LMW license renewal, amendments, and customs audits.

·       Prepare and submit mandatory customs reports (e.g., LMW annual returns, raw material usage reports).

·       Monitor dutiable / suspended goods movement, reconciliation of raw materials, finished goods, and scrap/waste.

·       Liaise with Customs officers during site visits, audits, and investigations.

·       Manage bond register and ensure customs bond sufficiency.

Logistics Process Management

·       Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments (air, sea, land) – local & international.

·       Manage 3PL providers, forwarders, and warehouse operators.

·       Optimize inventory accuracy between physical stock, WMS, and customs records.

·       Handle shipping documentation: Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, COO, K2 forms.

·       Ensure timely delivery performance and cost efficiency (freight negotiation, route planning).

Cross-functional & Reporting

·       Work with Procurement, Production, and Finance to align LMW declarations with actual usage.

·       Lead customs internal audits and corrective action plans.

·       Train internal teams on LMW SOPs and logistics best practices.

·       Maintain digital and physical records for customs audits (7-year retention).
