ARKTOS Developments Ltd. is seeking for an experienced shipwright/fitter to join our manufacturing facility in Surrey, BC. Our unique amphibious vehicles require precise sizing, fitting and installation of structural components, accessories and hardware which will be the focus of the person fulfilling this position. Additionally, there will be times where customizations are requested by the customer. These customizations to the Amphibious Craft require the manufacture of single use "one off" wooden molds to modify shapes and perform structural modifications without altering the standard permanent tooling.

Works closely with engineering and design department under direct supervision of the project manager.

Requirements:

• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings and 3D models.
• Good communication skills in written and spoken form with better than average ability to communicate with designers and engineering team.
• Experience in boat/yacht building manufacturing business will be considered an asset.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and precision.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience working as a Fitter/Shipwright in related industry such as: millwork, joinery, carpentry or other.

Compensation Package:

• 25 to 35 $ per hour (depending on experience)
• Extended health benefits upon completion of 3 months probation
• Paid vacation as per BC employment Standards
• Ability to cross-train in other areas of the manufacturing process including composites, assembly, aluminum & steel fabrication etc.
