About the role

Naxos is a private members' sky lounge opening in Central, inspired by the Portara stone gate of Apollo Temple on Naxos island in the Aegean Sea. This role is for a Shisha Attendant joining the opening team. Your work is not simply "set up and serve shisha" — it is delivering a complete member experience: from blend selection, taking orders, table service, temperature monitoring, charcoal changes, observing member reactions, to clearing up. Each session lasts 45–60 minutes. Your pace is the member's pace.

Key responsibilities

• Shisha preparation (40%): prepare water pipes according to member orders (clean water vessels, change water, select mouthpieces, pack tobacco, place charcoal); become familiar with characteristics and pairings of each blend; check condition of equipment (water vessels, hose, bowl, tongs)
• Tableside service (30%): deliver shisha to member seating; introduce flavours, demonstrate first draw, teach members sit-back rhythm; suggest Cocktail + Shisha pairings if members request
• Session monitoring (20%): observe charcoal condition and change charcoal every 15–20 minutes; observe member enjoyment and refill as appropriate; control temperature by identifying harsh burn and adjusting promptly; maintain airflow system (coordinate with Manager)
• Cleaning and tidying (10%): clean water vessels after session ends, disinfect hose, clean bowl; check tobacco inventory each evening at close

About you

• 21 years or above (legal requirement)
• 6 months or more service industry experience (bar, restaurant, shisha lounge all acceptable)
• Fluent Cantonese, conversational English
• Neat appearance, professional body language
• Ability to maintain confidentiality (member privacy)
• Legal work status in Hong Kong preferred
• Prior experience in shisha lounge / Middle Eastern restaurant / upscale bar
• Familiarity with mainstream shisha brands (Al Fakher, Fumari, Tangiers, Adalya, Musthave etc.)
• Experience using KM / Lotus / traditional charcoal heat management systems
• Familiarity with flavour pairing concepts
• Genuine interest in shisha culture (not just a job)
