We also design supercars, within another branch of our company, as we expand that production later this year and into next year, ideally you would pivot into a role on that project.

Role Description The Shop Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Laguna Niguel, CA. For this particular project our client is the University of Miami.

You will be supporting day-to-day shop operations, to keep the shop running smoothly and reliably. Specifically you'll be working with Fabricators and welders, and yourself would be fabricating, modifying, and assembling large Aluminum and Stainless Steel components using techniques such as laser leveling, measuring, cutting, grinding, and to build a large art piece. You would interpret technical drawings, measurements, and specifications to build or adapt parts, brackets, frames, and structural elements.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication tools and equipment: cutting, drilling, forming, fastening)
• Strong attention to detail, measurement accuracy, and commitment to product quality.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move materials, and perform manual tasks safely. Material has unique shapes and will be asked to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
• Basic math skills for measuring, calculating dimensions, and verifying tolerances.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in fabrication or related fields is a plus.
• Candidates that have participated in a high level sports program or martial arts is preferred
• Candidates with automobile modification, repair, restore, or rebuild experience are preffered (personal or professional)
