Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Shop Helper to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will support daily production operations by assisting with assembly, material handling, and equipment setup. Duties

• Assist with the assembly of products using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials within the facility
• Measure components accurately using measuring instruments and interpret technical drawings or production documents
• Support the setup and maintenance of production lines, ensuring adherence to safety standards and lean manufacturing principles
• Perform manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting, to transport raw materials and finished goods
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, following safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and optimize manufacturing workflows

Qualifications

• Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred, with familiarity in assembly line operations
• Mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and production documents accurately
• Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one upon hire
• Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments, including lean manufacturing practices
• Experience with warehouse operations, managing heavy lifting, and manual handling tasks
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $18.00 - $28.40 per hour
