Shop Labourer

Metal-Air Mechanical Systems Ltd. is looking for a reliable, motivated, and positive individual to join our team as a Shop Labourer.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in their work, is willing to learn, and enjoys contributing to a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, lunchroom, yard, and surrounding work areas
• Paint various materials and components as required
• Assist with the assembly, preparation, and handling of materials in the shop
• Perform general yard and property maintenance, including operating a snow blower, lawn mower, and various hand tools
• Assist shop personnel with general labour and material handling as required
• Follow established health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
• Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and materials
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Required Skills:

• Welding experience or qualifications are considered an asset
• Forklift operator training/certification is considered an asset
• Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position, Monday to Thursday
• Physically demanding work
• Frequent standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting, and carrying
• Handling and moving materials and equipment
• Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Must provide own CSA-approved 8" steel-toe work boots
