Shop Manager

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Shop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our jewellery store. The candidate will be responsible for stock management, financial records, purchasing, customer management, staff coordination and overall shop performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain accurate jewellery stock and inventory on a daily basis.
• Ensure every product is properly recorded, stored, tagged and accounted for.
• Monitor stock movement, sales, returns, damages and shortages.
• Handle daily opening and closing of financial accounts and maintain proper cash and financial records.
• Ensure sales, expenses, collections and payments are properly recorded.
• Coordinate with accounts and ensure financial records are maintained accurately.
• Purchase jewellery and related materials from vendors at the best possible price while maintaining required quality.
• Compare vendor prices and negotiate wherever possible.
• Maintain proper vendor records and purchase history.
• Manage customers professionally and provide a high-quality jewellery buying experience.
• Understand our jewellery collections and assist customers in selecting suitable products.
• Handle customer enquiries, special requirements, orders, prepayments, remakes and delivery coordination.
• Coordinate daily activities of shop staff and ensure discipline and proper customer service.
• Ensure the showroom and jewellery displays are maintained in a clean, organized and premium manner.
• Monitor online and offline stock and ensure inventory information remains accurate.
• Prepare and present weekly sales, stock, financial and operational reports to the Owner.
• Highlight stock discrepancies, unusual expenses, slow-moving products, customer issues and other matters requiring the Owner’s attention.
• Take overall responsibility for the smooth functioning of the shop.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in retail/shop management, preferably jewellery or a similar premium retail business.
• Strong understanding of inventory and financial management.
• Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
• Strong vendor negotiation and purchasing skills.
• Excellent customer handling and communication skills.
• Ability to manage staff and take ownership of daily operations.
• Basic knowledge of POS, inventory and accounting software is preferred.
• Honest, responsible, organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and report directly to the Owner.

The ideal candidate should understand that this is not simply a sales role. They will be responsible for protecting the company’s stock, money, customer relationships and day-to-day operations.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
