Company Overview

Brick Street Bagels began in a South End apartment where founder Jordan baked bagels in the early mornings and late nights around his day job and made deliveries by bike throughout the city. Since then Brick Street has slowly been expanding from pop-ups across the city to permanent shops in South Boston and the South End. Brick Street is continuing to grow and looking to add an experienced individual to join our management team.

During the hours you’re here you are pretty much working the whole time and doing whatever is needed. It can be physical work at times but for many on our team, this is actually their favorite part as it's quite a nice departure from sitting in an office chair all day.

Position Overview

This role will involve a little of everything, but your focus will be on our South Boston shop and team. Daily responsibilities include taking inventory, placing orders, facilitating catering orders, ensuring all aspects of the daily operation are accounted for, and jumping in to help the team whenever necessary.

While this role is a management position, it is a hands-on role. You will be expected to be an active part of the day to day operation, helping the team in various ways throughout each day to ensure a smooth operation of all aspects of the business. This might mean one minute you're interacting with customers and taking orders to help the Front of House staff, and the next minute you’re helping a baker with a batch of dough. This role will require someone who is detail oriented and can identify the daily needs of the shop, but also work directly with the management team to maintain an understanding of the big picture.

We are seeking individuals who are hard working, organized, communicate effectively, lead by example, have fun and are willing to take on any task, big or small.

Schedule

Shop hours are 7:30-2:00 but you will be expected to be in the shop as early as 6am and as late as 4pm, depending on the situation. Weekend availability is required.

Compensation

$70,000 - $80,000 (depending on experience).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Ensure smooth day to day operation of the shop.

-Take inventory and place orders as needed.

-Put away incoming deliveries and keep the shop organized.

-Update and ensure successful fulfillment of all catering orders.

-Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the shop.

-Collaborate and communicate with the team about daily operations.

-Be outgoing and friendly to customers you interact with.

-Assist with all aspects of the day to day operation, including dishwashing and cleaning.

*Experience in food service is required*

We are looking for an individual able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekends. Flexibility in schedule is a must. Proficiency in Spanish language is not required but a bonus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
