RETAIL SALES & CASHIER ASSISTANT

Full-Time | 5-Day Work Week | Gross Salary $2,300 + Commission

BRITISH ESSENTIAL (S) PTE LTD is looking for friendly, responsible and sales-oriented Retail Sales & Cashier Assistants to join our team.

💰 Salary & Commission

·       Gross Salary: $2,300 per month (inclusive of allowance)

·       Sales commission is paid separately, on top of the $2,300 gross salary

·       Attractive earning potential for staff who perform well in sales

🕚 Working Hours

·       11:00 AM – 10:00 PM

·       5 days per week

·       1-hour total break per working day:

o   30-minute lunch break

o   30-minute dinner break

·       Must be able to work weekends and public holidays according to roster

Your Role

As a Retail Sales & Cashier Assistant, you will be responsible for providing good customer service, promoting products, handling cashier transactions and supporting the daily operation of the shop.

Key Responsibilities

·       Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner

·       Understand customers’ needs and recommend suitable products

·       Actively promote products and contribute towards store sales targets

·       Handle cashier duties and POS transactions

·       Process cash, card and other approved payment methods accurately

·       Replenish, arrange and display merchandise

·       Ensure products are correctly priced and shelves are well stocked

·       Keep the shop clean, tidy and presentable

·       Assist with receiving and stocking incoming merchandise

·       Monitor inventory and report stock shortages

·       Handle customer enquiries and feedback professionally

·       Support promotional activities

·       Follow company health, safety and hygiene procedures

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for candidates who are:

·       Singapore Citizens

·       Friendly, approachable and comfortable communicating with customers

·       Sales-oriented and willing to actively recommend products

·       Comfortable handling cashier and POS duties

·       Reliable, responsible and punctual

·       Able to work a 5-day retail roster, including weekends and public holidays

·       Comfortable standing for extended periods

·       Able to perform normal retail duties such as stocking and arranging merchandise

·       Comfortable with basic calculations and cash handling

·       Positive and willing to learn

·       Able to work independently and as part of a team

Previous retail, sales or customer service experience is an advantage, but not essential. Training will be provided to suitable candidates.
